Our sink in the pop-up has leaked several times.  The water ends up under the flip-over galley.  It sure is a mess and makes me uneasy when anyone uses it.  Mostly just happens when using a good ammt of water like while doing dishes, etc.  But still, it s something I want fixed!  The little foamy deal under the drain is tearing and I think that may be the cause.  Heck if I know.  I am new to pop-ups and still learning.

Anyone else have this bothersome problem?  How did you remedy it?

 Thanks-CathyAnn

CathyAnnWell, our sink s putty was allowing our sink to leak.  Took out the drain at the sink, cleaned the old stuff off and put new stuff on, and reassembled.

 End of leak.

CathyAnnSeeing as how it s an 02, shouldn t it still be under warranty?

Red neff Barchetta

CathyAnnI agree, that sounds like a warranty claim if I ever heard one.  Good luck with the dealer.

If you aren t the original owner, I just remembered that " Scott/GSMx2"  rebuilt his plumbing and it is really sturdy.  I would be surprised if he ever has a leak again.  Try contacting him and I m sure he ll send you a parts list.

 CathyAnnCathy-Ann,

If the trailer is still under warranty let the dealer do it, unless they are too far away.  If it is the seal under the drain it is easy to fix.  Get a little tub of plumbers putty.  Unscrew the knob under the sink that holds the drain in place.  Remove the drain and get rid of the seal.  Roll some of the plumbers putty into a rope that is long enough to go all of the way around the drain.  Flatten it out on the drain (where the drain will touch the sink) and then put the drain back in the sink and tighten the knob under the sink.  You will want to tighten it pretty good.  If the parts are plastic don t over do it, you could strip the threads.  Scrape the extra putty off of the sink and you are ready to go.

Will you adopt me?  You seem to know how to fix everything, and I need someone like that to rescue me when I break something.

CathyAnnYep, it s most likely the putty.  We have the exact same problem.  I need to fix it but have just been too lazy. My Lazyperson s fix or until you can fix it tlhdoc s way(read: the right way):  tie a dishtowel around the plumbing underneath the sink; change as necessary.

 I know, I know: scary, huh? [:)]

I might adopt you, but do you like to clean?  If not forget it.[:D]  Unfortunately I have learned how to do most of this stuff out of necessity.
