Seems some little part not working right on our 3-way frig in Coleman Utah.  Back when we first got this thing I would plug it in to AC the night before we went on a trip setting the knob at about 4 and then on DC while driving and when we got set up the temp would be so cold it would cause ice " crystals"  in the water and milk.  Now, 6 months later,  I do the same thing, even set-ting the knob at the highest point, and still it just keeps things barely cool, definitely not cold, and no more crystals in the water or milk.  Any suggestions?

 WayfarerWayfarer,

What about on Propane? If it cools ok on propane it could be in the electrical circuit, but if it is in all 3 modes, I think a trip to the fridge doc is in order.

WayfarerHadn t thought of that.  So far it s been AC or DC.  Will try propane next trip and see if it makes a difference.  Thanks!

WayfarerMine works 50% better, on propane. I even use propane on the road, it s cheaper, works better, and I feel it s safe.

WayfarerThis may or may not help. Our new trailer has a 3 way frig. And when i brought it home and pluged it in. it didn t cool worth a darn. I was going nuts trying to get it working . Well one of the guys i work with has been rving for more years then he properly will admit. i told him of my problem and he told me. When i get home to put a level on one of the selves in the frig and make sure it s level. I kept thinking it was a compressor type frig. He goes you moron it s a absorbtion type frig. Just like the absorbers we have in the north wing building. I said dummy me no wonder i didn.t hear a compresser kick in. Well anyway when i got home I did just as jimmy told me to do and low and behold it works great. Try leveling your camper first before taking it to the dealer to be worked on. Also check and see if the conections to the heating element on the bottom tank on the frig is not coroded in any way. Maybe you are not getting full voltage to the heating element.Just a idea.
