RE: solution for no see ums?

The basting mainly consisted of me on the outside, DW on the inside and passing the needle back and forth between us around the edges. About an inch between stiches made it tight enough to hols it to the screens without gaping.

 
 looks as if the basting solution is the winner.
 
 now....do i put this project before finishing the screen room or after?   BEFORE!!!
