 Sorry Suezyque ,

I ordered that $20.00 US pop-up change/potty room from the Sportsman s Guide site.
That $20.00 US + $17.00 US shipping in now $58.85 CND ( I can live with that.)
I placed the order on Mar. 13th, it says the order was shipped on the 20th of Mar.
As of April 1/03 it s not here. I  e-mailed them here is the reply I received.

 "  Hello,

Thank you for your e-mail.  I have looked a the order it was shipped on 03/20/03 you will need to allow 36 days for the delivery of the package. If you have not received the package by the 1st of May please let us know so we can get the package reshipped. Any further questions please feel free to contact us again. Thanks for shopping The Guide. "

I would think that 36 days for a shipment to Canada is far too long.
I know with what is going on in the world these days ( God Bless America ) things can be held up at the border.
It says that it s coming by USPS 1st Class and  expect delivery in 3-5 days, I m sure that s in the US.  But up to 36 days come on!!

I think this will be my 1st & only purchase through their site............sorry.

It s here[:D] it seems the problem was that Sportsman s put the wrong house ##.
Then Canada Customs put a whole new street name on it just to make things a little more interesting [>:].

Then the person who received the notice of a parcel for pick-up showed up & said that was not them. But a nice young lady at our local postal outlet took the time to do some checking in the phone book & found me.
She said they have had it there for 5 days.

Now the fun starts as I have not opened it yet & from what I ve read putting it back into the case will be the best part.

3&acatI am in the States but I have ordered clothing, cast iron and other items from Sportsmans Guide and have always received my stuff promptly and in good condition.  Their clothing seems to be better quality than a lot of the stuff offered in the discount stores at a higher price.
Hopefully your holdup is only with the border crossing and won t last long.

Jeffrey

3&acatI really don t think it s a Sportsman Guide problem.

I occasionally (haha) buy stuff on Ebay.

 My experience has been..........
Anything coming from Canada takes a long time. Except small envelopes they seem to arrive quick. But any slightly large package, takes 2-3 weeks longer.
I have received large packages from New Zealand and Australia in less than a week. And a similar package from Canada can take 3-4 weeks.

I have no idea why? But there seems to be a missing link between USPS and the Canadian Postal Service, when it comes to packages.

Suezyque

3&acatWow, sorry to hear about your troubles with them.  I ve been a customer for several years and have had nothing but wonderful experiences.

DiW

3&acatI ordered kilts from Canada and they took forever to get here. I receive dance shoes from Scotland much sooner than shoes from Canada. Never figured out why.

DiWI had to read your thread title 3 times before I got it....  I too thought you ordered something from Canada to the US.  Hey folks... they are not ordering a product  from Canada shipped to the US... It s the other way around.  They already live in Canada, near Toronto.

Anyway, sorry to hear about your slow order shipment, but I think the company is being fair with you.  They have even offered to re-ship the item if you don t receive it come 1 May.  All that s required here is a little patience

I remember as a kid, sending off those box tops for the advertised item on the cereal box.  I must have looked in the mail box every day after I sent away for it, and just couldn t under stand why, after 3 or 4 days it hadn t arrived.

I m not suggesting that you expect your purchase to arrive in 3 or 4 days, but given the circumstances at our boarders right now with ever increasing security measures being implemented, it will take unusually longer than if no security was required.

 Have a great day.

 3&acat3&acat,

As you know I sell on ebay and ship to US a lot, almost all of my sales. Some items arrive, as advirtised on Canada Post website, within 6 to 9 business days, but some take 30-35 days. To avoid being negged, I tell everyone of my customers that their item might take upto 35 days ...... They don t like it, but it is a fact of life. Usually it doesn t take that long, sometimes does though. this started happening like two months ago , before that it was always quick .

I think this company you brought from is also doing the same thing. I hope you get a nice surprise ....

3&acatSorry to here about your order. I will tell ya that I order a lot over the internet and I do have problems myself so the problems are everywhere. I ordered the same thing plus a folding table and the table came in broken. The exchange table came in in three days. Not bad huh!

Bob,
I think that sucks, if they re shipping to Canada they should tell you about the possibly shipping time upfront. Birol does and sportman s guide is one hell of a lot bigger[;)]
btw I have ordered from them without a problem as well but they dropped the ball by not spelling out shipping for Canadians when they are placing the order

3&acat

donI have order many things over the net, but this looks like it ll be the slowest to arrive.

I just hope this thing comes in before our 1st camp out in May.
Hate to see what would happen if I order a ball leveler.
Oh well I ll  just look out the window at all this snow & ice[: (]

birol

3&acatWhat you have snow there ? all we have is ice ice ice ice  ice, I am sick and tired of slipping and falling with this knee [:o]

3&acatUmmm, the windstar,  me falling, it almost running over me, feet against the door being pushed back on the ground, badly twisted knee. It still hurts some, I can walk without limping mostly but, it does not feel normal yet. so when I fall it hurts a lot more then it normally should [:@]
