turn off and on while running?  Meaning...when we ran it this weekend I had it on low and a medium temp. setting.  It seemed that every now and then it would blow air and the A/C would not be pumping REAL cold air and the motor would be quieter.  Then the cold air started up again and you could hear it get louder.

I m guessing this is to regulate the temperature and to make sure your A/C doesn t freeze.  Is this normal?

JemJen24In my experience, when set at less than maximum, the compressor will cycle off when the temp reaches the thermostats setting. The fan will continue to run and circulate air. When the temp rises the compressor will turn on again. There will be a noticeable difference in the sound.
 Hope this helps.

Turn Key

JemJen24Compressor, which cools the air, turns on and off based on thermostat setting.  Fan runs constant and will run a wee pit faster when compeessor is " off" .
