 All,

Someone or something hit my rear bumper on my trailer. On the drivers corner and pushed the bumper in on the out side of the frame and broke all the plastic. Wonder what this will cost to be fixed ? I might beable to do it myself if I can pull the bumper back out and buy the plastic corner. The plastic is only rivted on. I guess I will not park it on the road again.[:o][:@]

whitestar505We had a plastic corner shatter on us last year. Our dealer got us one, no charge and DH put it on with a rivet gun. However, our bumper wasn t pushed in. Maybe you should have your dealer look at it to make sure there is no other damage.

whitestar505On one of my first trips out I bottomed out the bumper towing in the National Forest.  I had to replace the bumper and both plastic end caps.

Less than $40 for all parts including the new black colored rivets you need (I was surprised to find the rivets in the box)

Took about an hour to change.

whitestar505Sorry to hear about the damage.  It s sad that you were hit, but it is too bad the person that hit you didn t have the decency to stop and tell you they did it and pay for the damage.

 whitestar505Hi Folks,

Priced things out yesterday to repair and repaired it. It was $7.47 for the plastic peice and the rest I pulled out and painted black. We are good to go! Price was not bad at all. Makes you wonder what we pay insurance for.[:D]
