A friend of mine just told me about this incredible Camp Kitchen and I went to see it at Sam s.  I has 3 surfaces (tables) hooked together, has an upright rack behind to hold utensils, even a lantern holder at the top.  There is at least 1 shelf below.  I was blown away!  We bought a much smaller Camp Kitchen from Camping World for around $50 and thought we got a good deal.  This one beats it!  It comes in a bag for storage.

DH was really tempted to buy one for us as well!  I didn t see a pic of it yet on the website but maybe it s a new item.

iwantapopupI saw it at my Sam s Club tonight.  It has a wire shelf under the center counter top and hooks to hang utensils from.  I wrote down more info on it, but it is in my car.  I will post it tomorrow.  The sign said one time purchase and there were only a few where I was.  If anyone is looking for a camp kitchen this looks like a great setup.

iwantapopupI want one!!  Curiosity got the best of me, so I checked it out while waiting for a prescription at Sam s.  I wish they had one set up so you could see how sturdy it is.  It looks awesome in the picture and I attempted to pick up one of the bags.  Those suckers are heavy!  I doubt they last long enough to be marked down, but I m going to keep watching this one.

iwantapopupThe camp kitchen is made by Northern Designs.  It is called " Foldable Camp Kitchen" .  It has 3 table surfaces, a wire storage rack under the center table, above the center table is a condiment shelf and hooks for hanging utensils.  There are also 2 hooks that you could hang lanterns from.  If comes in a storage bag.  Set up it is 88 inches wide, 23.5 inches deep and 91 inches at the highest point.  It is a large camp kitchen, but if you are looking for one this is a good price.

iwantapopupI have one that sounds about like this one.  It s wonderful, folds up flat enough to go on the dinette when we pop down.

iwantapopupThis one is very nice I saw it at Sam s yesterday. It is at least four foot wide and I m not sure how tall it it but, it is quite big. It is a special buy and you only get that price on the ones they have in stock. My store had maybe 6-8. I thought it was great deal and a great price, and wanted to get it. Hubby said we had no room for it and it was bigger than we need. Hopefully someone got one at this price.

iwantapopupThey had these set up at our Sams Club.  They felt very sturdy.  I have a Coleman Camp Kitchen that I paid a lot more for that I don t like as well as this.

iwantapopupI took my week old minivan to Dover yesterday. This is one heavy sucker. Had to heave help putting it in a shopping cart, boy was it heavy lifting it on the middle seat of the minivan. Last year I bought me a 22 galon tote tank for mother s day, this year the new camp kitchen.
The al-aluminium will go in the popup.

iwantapopupI was amazed at how easy this was to set up, even without instructions (if all else fails then read them).  Even though it is bigger and much heavier, it went together in about 2 minutes and that was opening the box and setting everything out.
I like it... I like it

iwantapopupWe ve had one for a number of years. We seldom take it with us now, but still use it when we re in charge of group cooking. We really like it. Mine is somewhat heavy but not what I d consider unreasonable.

iwantapopupWe had a camp kitchen years ago and it became so heavy that I was glad to give it up.  Now I have a 18x40 folding table that sits next to the stove in the AAR.  It is really much easier. I also have a wire Rubbermaid shelf that is supposed to hold shoes that sits next to the table that holds pots, etc. My dishes and cookware go in one Rubbermaid box and the food in another.
I think the kitchen is something that everyone thinks they need, at least once. I will not bother with one now that we are camping again.

 iwantapopupOpie,

I think everyone needs something, either a table like you mentioned or a Camp Kitchen.  It s worth the lugging to me!  When we had the pop-up with a tiny single sink, you couldn t really wash dishes in it; having a camp kitchen and for us 2 roll-up tables gave me room to set up a wash & rinse dishpans, drying rack and a place for the Coleman Stove (ours didn t hook on the side).  I didn t have to crowd my family taking up the picnic table by having to cram everything onto it.

Your set-up sounds really good to me and would be a great alternative to someone who didn t want to buy a kitchen.  But if we didn t already have a Camp Kitchen, I d buy the one at Sam s in a heartbeat!

iwantapopupEven though I m buying a Hybrid with a double sink and a HWH, I m still drawn to this piece. I was at Sams today looking at them, and then I moved on to other things, but eventually went back to take another look at the demo model they had. I like it! The only that I saw that didn t make sense was the little lantern hooks that prodruded out of the plastic end pieces... Seems that plastic will melt rather quickly with a hot lantern burning right underneath of it! But you could easilly remove the plastic and hang the lantern on the aluminum piece...

I also own a table to put outside, but with the new trailer I ll loose the other
outside table that comes with the PU... This still might be a useful item for me!
Guess I ll go back and look at it some more![;)]

 iwantapopupCliff,

We still plan to bring our kitchen even with a tt.  We will still do most of the cooking outdoors.  Once the summer heat hits, I don t want to start baking inside the camper trying to cook and then regret it waiting for the camper to cool down.

I will probably take the dishes inside and wash them in the double sink, not have to worry about disposing the gray water since it will go in the holding tank and have the a/c hit me in the face while I wash![;)]

I must have missed that the lantern hangers were plastic but I didn t eyeball it that well.

Gone-Camping

iwantapopupThe hangers were little metal wire like things, that went into plastic end caps. It looks easy enough to by-pass, I doubt anyone would be able to hang a gas lantern off the hooks as designed, but a battery lantern would be an entirely different matter!!!

I m leaning toward the idea of buying one of these, I too prefer to cook outside, and found out at Newport News Park last month that the little table I have doesn t fit both the stove and the Coleman Grill-n-griddle too well.... [>:]
