tlhdocWe have a local Drive-in called the Rustic... years ago it was XXX, but now there are three screens with first run movies,  and all the " great"  drive-in food you can eat.  (gotta love burgers and dogs cooked hours earlier, wrapped in foil..[;)]

tlhdocnope, we don t have any drive-in theaters around here any more either.[:(]  But, like many of you, I have fond memories of my teen years when every Tuesday was WGRD night, and the DJs from the local radio station would host the movie, and during the intermission play records and we d all dance.   And by the end of the movie all the high school rivals would be having a  rumble . (yup, that s what I said)[8D]  After that, they would have drag races, down by the river I think.    And then, when my own kids came along, we would pop enough popcorn to fill a brown grocery sack and fill the picnic jug full of kool aid.   The girls would stake out their territory in the back seat, while little Ricky got to lay in the back window ledge.   I was disappointed when they closed down the last drive-in, but on the other hand, I wouldn t have wanted my kids to get their " education"  at the drive-in, like we did. haha[:D]

There are a few within an hour or so from us, but we never seem to get there.  It s something I m going to have to do before they all disappear!
