After camping last weekend, I realized that I need something to keep my glasses on after I take them off, to hold the remote control and or anything else to place before you shut the light off. I was thinking of hanging something from the bar that holds up the canvas tenting.....the one that points toward the center of the pu. I can t think of what you call that. Has anyone bought or made something with pockets to hang from that bar? It sure was a pain last weekend[: (]

FoxyladiesWe bought one of those triangular shaped nets from Toys R Us that are made to fasten in a corner of a kids bedroom to hold stuffed animals. I mounted it in place on the " shepards pole"  to the tent end bow with velcro. The wife puts her glasses and such on it when we crawl into the bunk, that way they are right above her when she needs them.

FoxyladiesI have a couple of sets of three tiered hanging baskets from the Dollar Store. We put all kinds of small items in them.

FoxyladiesWe got one of those little pocket thingys that you put on the back of the front bucket seats in cars.  DW just sewed some velcro on it to loop over the pole.  We will try it out this weekend.  I think she got it at Walmart for around 12 to 14 dollars.  I needed it for my pills, asthma inhaler and small things I wanted not to lose.

I couldn t find it but I ve seen a picture posted about hanging that netting that rccs was talking aobut. It was hung between the bunk poles just like tim did with the wooden tray

FoxyladiesI use the curtain tieback to hang my glasses on. I wonder how  little holders (pockets) that you could hang on the side of the mattress  would work. You could probably stitch one on the side and when empty just stuff under the mattress. Does anyone have any idea what I am talking about ????? Actually, having the king size bed, we just put everything else in between us at the head of the bed.

FoxyladiesI use a fanny pack. Just shorten it as far as it will go and clip it over the shepard s hook. Cost me a dollar at the dollar store and holds my glasses, novel, some tissue and a small flashlight.
Sometimes we just have to look outside the box.[;)]

FoxyladiesI have the three tiered baskets for some stuff, and also have a hanging shoe bag thingy from the dollar store with lots of little pockets in it.  I hang that from the little edge where the curtain hangs, just can t put anything real heavy in it.   I have gotten a shower curtain liner for at home that has pockets for the shampoo etc and was thinking that I might get another one for the camper, maybe find a way to attach it to the back side of the curtain that pulls across the bunk.

FoxyladiesI made bedside pockets similar to these, with straps and velcro. We attach one above the end window above our bed. You could alter one of the store-bought ones by cutting off most of the fabric that is intended to go under the mattress and attaching velcro.

FoxyladiesI was about to make or buy a shoebag type thing to hang where you climb into the bunk.  It would stay under the mattress during the day, but hold glasses, book, flashlight and maybe Walkman.  I was planning to staple the top of it to the plywood under the mattress.......but now that I ve read all these posts, I m thinking that fanny-pack-over-the-pole sounds way easier, and just as effective.  Once again, the members of this board help me.  Thanks.

FoxyladiesWe use the square pot holders with the pocket, tie them by their loop to the curtain tiebacks on both sides.
