 Folks,

I posted this way back in November with no response. Hopefully I will get some info this time. I have been looking at the KOA in and around Ogdensburg New York. In fact any campgrounds in this area. I use to travel a lot in the area but that was years ago. Can you help information ?

whitestar505I appologise for not responding to your message earlier.

I ve seen the KOA but we never stayed there.  We like the Robert Moses State Park in Massena.  It has waterfront sites with a view to the locks.  The sites with the view are on the river road and are real nice.  We have gone there at least once a year for the last 3 years.

One other thing is that the KOA doesn t have sites on the river - or river view sites.

 rajones315rajones315,

At last, [:D] At last, [:)]At last someone has camped on the St Lawrence River area. Thank you for your input. I will look up the SP and try it. Wish I seen this note before my last trip, but gave up hope of ever seeing anything on the river.

Can you provide any more information?

 Thanks again!

whitestar505Nothing Specific.  The campground has a convenient wally world nearby and a small mall.  You can hop on the main drag and drive 10 minutes and save lots of money on gas from the reservation gas stations.

The casino is less that 1/2 hour away.

There are crafts for the kids and fishing from the river is okay.

In fact, some people beach their small boats right next to their camp sites.  The area right by the sites is lite gravel.  The park has a sandy beach that is free to campers.

That s about all I can think of.

You can make reservations on the park-net.com web site.
