There s a picture, too. However, I don t know how to add a picture on this board. Even if I did, I wouldn t want to eat up the space in order to post it.  Here s the link: http://www.greenpoints.com/catalog/cat_productdetails.asp?Product_ID=A7211  Interesting to note that it doesn t give the year of the model being offered.

So, if you are into collecting the greenpoints --Internet version of the S&H stamps; same company-- you can earn yourself a PU.  Did you know you can donate & transfer greenpoints?  Maybe we can all donate a few greenpoints to the " Birol PU fund" [8D][;)]

 Peace be with you all.

DanusmomSince most of the offers are 10 points per dollar we only need to spend $399,000 for a apx $5000 PU. Boy, what a deal![;)]

Danusmom

DanusmomActually, many of the merchants are offering 20 points per $1 spent.  And, S&H often has promotions/perks/bonuses which earn you more points.  For example, I purchased an FTD arrangement for ~$50 & earned 2400 points during a special offer.  You would still need to spend ~$150,000 in order to earn enough greenpoints.  I agree it is a long way around in order to purchase a $5,000 PU for an individual.  However, if a large group of people were to donate their points to the single cause of earning enough points for this PU....it could be a very nice win-win situation.  Purchase a birthday gift through greenpoints.com --> donate greenpoints.  Purchase a wedding gift through greenpoints.com -->donate greenpoints.  And, so on.

 Peace be with you all.

Danusmomheck....if i would have known there was a birol fund...i woujldn t have spent all of my greenpoints on a couple of bottles of pepsi...sigh.

There are several sporting goods stores listed which have been mentioned on these boards frequently as great sources for supplies.  Such as: Bargain Outfitters, Bass Pro Shops, & Overstock.com.  And, then there is Target.com, Wal-Mart.com as well as Land s End, LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, Eddie Bauer Outlet, & Lillian Veron.

I must admit, I can t image too many of us shopping at Norstrom s online.  Yet, I still think this raffle concept is really great!  Hope more of you vote in favor.[:D]  I would LOVE to see someone who has been longing for one, yet not have the funds available, win a PU.  There is such joy in giving!

 Peace be with you all.

DanusmomOne reason is I buy little off the web as the shipping costs can really mount up. Also since the Greenpoints started values for redeeming points for items have almost doubled and I don t see any reason why they won t again.
Just the reicarnation of Sperry & Hutchison  updated for the internet and those points do cost merchants TANSTAFL.

DanusmomOK...now that I have a new acronym to use (TANSTAFL)...I want to thank everyone for this thread.  As I agree in the no free lunch issue, it does bring back memories of me and my brothers and sisters sitting on the floor and pasting green stamps in little books (my weird brother actually thought the glue tasted good). There was a S&H redemption store next to the Publix store where my mom would shop. We would love to go shopping with her just to go and look in the store. We would dream about what we would get with the stamps. My mom would divide the stamps evenly among all four of us. You can only imagine the deal making that went on thinking we could pool out stamps and get something bigger, and the eventual fighting over stamps. (I am sure that mom was teaching us a lesson)  Our life was just like the Brady Bunch...anyone remember the episode where the dog ran thru the house and all the stamps stuck to him?

I signed up for the green points thingy...just to relive a little of my youth.  I know I will never get enough for a big prize...but it is fun trying. It is just like I keep telling my DW that saving $3.00 in coupons isn?t a good thing...when you bought $20 worth of stuff you didn?t need in the first place.
