I am curious as what type of hitch ball you use.I m thinking of upgradeing to the " Interchangeable ball system"  that s the one you can remove just the ball and put on a different size ball.Does anyone have one of these systems and does it work good or bad.

SCCSScott, you should have come to Ft. Bragg with us this weekeend, robucko has one on his rig and you could have seen it in person. To me, it *looks* like a spiffy idea, as long as someone doesn t twist the center section and steal the ball. Give him an email, or maybe one of the the others who helped him unhitch can give you more input.

 SCCSScott -
Robucko uses one.  He showed it off on Friday morning in Fort Bragg.  The whole works came with a draw bar, shank, key, 2"  ball, and a 1 7/8"  ball (I think that s the other common size).
He loves it for his Hybrid and his boat.  The shank where the " key"  inserts doesn t get in the way of the trailer coupler and it sits flush with the top of the ball.

I know he d be more than happy to let you check it out at Gold Rush if he feels well enough to make it.

I have had one of those interchangeable ball setups for a number of years.

boat took 1 7/8 and camper 2 inch.

they are easy to change.  Just push the pin out and lift up on the ball.

Only drawback is that the ball could be easily taken off by some unknown character.

I believe they run about $30.
