As everyone knows I ve became seasonal this year and was wondering about using a battery. I know sometimes the campground loses power when there is a storm so my question is:When you have a battery,  does the battery goes on automaticaly or do you have to set-up something? I ve never had one so I don t know how they run. I have an area where it can be put. The previous owners bought a second tank instead of the battery.

Speaking of propane tanks...I encountered a small problem......because I m seasonal my pu is open all the time. When I had to change a new tank, I realized that I had to always go under the bed(I mean my non-camping husband had to) to try and take the tank off so I asked the campground owners if I could get a longer hose or something and put the propane tanks somewhere else close by. They said it wasn t any problem to do so they got the things that were needed and did it for me. What a piece of cake now![:D]

Next question.....you know the power thingys that they sell in the store that has six outlets on it....can that be put in the plug outlet that is on the outside of the pu? I think just having two outlets is not enough....btween hanging the tacky lights it just leaves you with one for a radio. I was thinking of hanging one of those small fans with the yellow light from a awning pole. Can it be done? Thanks for any input![:D]

FoxyladiesSure, You can do that. As long as your draw doesn t exceed 15 amps total. If it gets too high you will blow the breaker. But with lights, radio, and a fan, you should be fine.

Foxyladies

Foxyladiesokay....how do you know that it will or willnot draw 15 amps....is there something on the box that will tell you?[:)]

FoxyladiesOutside of trying it, you would have to add up the current demand for each thing you want to power. There may be a sticker on each item telling you how much they will draw. Your heavy users would be, anything with a heating element. Such as a drip coffee pot, or a toaster oven. But all of these load the electrical system anyway. plugged in outside or inside. So if you normally don t kick the breaker, you won t now either.
