RE: First real mods successfully made

Well, we ve had our Palomino for over a year now and we ve made our first modifications/repairs.  Everything we did, revolved around the sink.
 
 I installed a Flojet sink pump my parents gave me for my birthday.  We also rerouted the sink drain through the floor.  It was originally installed with the tube leading through the side wall, but it didn t drain properly and got kinked up all the time.  Now the tube is straight and leads through the floor where it drains perfectly.
 
 We also replaced the fosset.  The old one was an old pastic hand pumnp job that broke a couple weeks ago.
 
 I ll tell you what - having running water is awesome!

Sounds nice.How well does the sink drain now? How was the mod. done ?

The sink drains excellent - about as well as a inhome sink now.  All I did was replace the plastic tubing on the drain with tubing I bought @ Homie depo and drilled a hole through the floor.  I put a gas pipe fitting that was threaded the same as a hose connection on the bottom end for connecting to a gray water tank.  Pretty simple stuff - I m not a Bob Vila and we live in an apartment, so my handiness is rather limited - lol.
