The two latches on the slideout of our Bayside needs to be adjusted.  I can hardly latch them in place.  What is the easiest way to make the adjustment (besides having someone else do it for you)?  While I was standing at the CG with the sun beating down on me and kids wanting to leave, it looked like it would be difficult to get to the latch plates to get them to move it in or out.  Any suggetions?

BaysideBruceOne time, camping in my Utah, after opening the slideout I had then turned the latch " handles"  back and closed them so the " ears"  would not be sticking out.  Then, a couple of days later I forgot to open them and, naturally, when I slid the slideout in it would not go all the way.  I didn t immediately recognize the problem so I pulled the slideout out a bit and then rammed to closed...or at least I tried to.  What I did was bend the bars.  Well, then I opened the latches, slid the slideout in, but then it wouldn t lock because the bars were bent and didn t match the slots they were supposed to go in.  Had to use a sturdy pair of pump pliers to bend them slightly to get them straight again and then things worked as designed.  Don t know that that is your problem but it s worth looking at.

 Hope this helps.  Good luck!

BaysideBruceThank you for letting my son have a way to say " Oh yea, I guess I might have tried closing it without looking to see of the latches were in the closed position first."   It appears that is what happened.  I took a pair of plyers and bent them a little and everything seems to be working okay once again.  One latch does seem to have a little more play in it than I remembered, but it still latches.  Thanks for letting my son have a way to explain what " might have happened" .
