JemJen24We have the large blue water cointainer with a sprout that sits on the picnic table and two smaller jusgs that I can carry.  I do not do dishes inside so do not need much water inside.  If I put a a clear jug of water in the sun when we have sun on our site , we end up with warm water.

JemJen24We have to fill our tank often.  We have several green plastic " Jerry Cans"  that hold 6 gal. each.  The lid becomes a spout and I just pour the water to refill the tank.  Wal-Mart sells them.

JemJen24I fill the tank before we leave home..... saves the hassle of having to do it at the CG.  We seem to go through a lot of water, so I use a 7-gallon AquaTainer (blue ones) and a large funnel to refill at the CG.  The Aquatainer rests on the edge of the PU, so all I have to do is lean a bit to hold it in place while one hand holds the funnel.  Finding the right funnel was the toughest part......  on a Bayside it requires one with an angled bottom spout so the top of the funnel stays level when filling.

Most of the time I fill the water tank when leaving the CG so it is all ready to go next time.

JemJen24We ran into the problen this weekend of making the funnel fit to fill our water tank.   Just couldn t make the one we had bend the right way.   A little innovation and we were all set.  We have a very inexpensive little tube called the E-Z tank filler tube that attaches to a hose but had no water hook up to hook a hose to.....   http://www.campingworld.com/browse/products/index.cfm?deptID=3&subOf=13&prodID=594&src=TSC].   We had our 7 gallon blue water tank filled and just figured we d pour it in...but the funnel we had wouldn t bend enough.  I had just finished drinking a bottle of deer park water....looked at it and had a brain storm.  I screwed the top part of the bottle right into the hose attachment, cut the botton of the bottle off with a pocket knife...and whoopie...a homemade funnel I could bend any way I needed to.  I just held it in place and the DH poured water in until it was full.  Worked perfectly...and you couldn t beat the price!  JemJen24We use a Kerosene battery operated syphon pump. Stick it in the water jug and turn it on, no lifting to pour and it s fairly fast. (of course it was never used on kerosene before)

JemJen24we  have a battery operated water pump that fits on top of a five gallon bottle ( the type you use in the water coolers) we use that for drinking, ( http://www.harrietcarter.com/SubA.cfm?pth=33&cat=2&sr=168) and we have a five gallon collapsable container with a shut off spout on it we rest on the side of the sink, we fill the big tank and 2 bottles up on the way in, and use paper plates etc and one pot meals! so when the tank is empty we use the containers on the side of the sink the rest of the time,
no generators , carry extra deep cycle battery, for 12 volt fan, and a back up for lights. we use a 12 volt coffee pot, use lighter in van to make morning coffee!  use propane lanterns outside for lighting,

JemJen24Hi: You have all the answers here, but one last bit of advice: I would fill the tank when driving into the CG, but remove it before you leave home and disinfect it with 2-1/2 cups of chlorine bleach per 10 gallons of water. Let sit 3 hours then rinse thoroughly. By doing this, you ll also learn how the system is put together. Have fun
