We recently purchased a " video-in-a-bag"  DVD player for our upcoming trip.  I m curious if I placed this projector over the monitor of our new player, would we be able to view the projection like a regular movie projector --assuming the base dimension is comparable to the size of the monitor?

 Here s the projector: http://www.harrietcarter.com/Detail.cfm?pth=33&Cat=2&prod=1094&sr=168

If this set-up would work, it would really be great for showing home videos during our family reunion.  The sound would be another issue.  Then again, we all know how well sound travels at night.[;)]

 Peace be with you all.

DanusmomI wouldn t think it would [&:] I think you need a projector which can accept Video output from your DVD player directly ......[:o]

Danusmom

DanusmomI thought it would since it already projects still images without plugging any connecting cables into anything.  Why wouldn t it project the images from the monitor if the projector is placed over the monitor in the same manner it is meant to project still images?

 Peace be with you all.

DanusmomBecause it is reflecting images from a stationary surface by using a light source.

The images on the monitor are produced by those beams and will most probably not reflect at all, or reflect poorly. The surface of the monitor is not reflective like paper.  I wish I knew for sure, it might work, but I think not, or probably not good enough to watch.

I hope somebody already tried and can give a more definitive answer. I am just trying to offer some educated guess and hopefully prevent you from wasting money. If you can return it with no loss of shipping money , it is definitely worth trying.
