mike4947Looked over the new floorplans & trailers again last night with DH.  Still confused by the changes in the Bayside.  Seems like they ve moved the kitchen & slideout further back towards the rear - wouldn t that be worse for sway?

Those Highlanders look promising, but I d rather have a slideout.  They also look boring, kind of like a shoebox with wings.

I m also intrigued by the redesign of the front storage compartment, especially if the lid has been strengthened.

I may just have to head for the big RV show to see the new models [:D]

mike4947It seems that they ve changed the Bayside into a Casa Grande just like ours excluding the front storage box. I ve always liked our layout better that the old Bayside and often wondered why they discontinued the layout like ours. But now it s back, who knows.

mike49471) I don t know what makes CamperTex superior to Sunbrella. Feeling the stuff, it s like the thin tarp material on other popups. (Of course, on their site, their " cutaway view"  still says Sunbrella on it LOL).

 2) The ceilings have a new twist. Some genius decided to use white tape to seal the many seams in them. Might be ok if the tape would actually STICK to the ceiling! The folks in high humidity areas will be very unhappy.

 3) Who changed the curtain materials to the stiff stuff they re now using?

 4) Are the flaps on the bunkend foam pads hanging to give the impression that there s a 6-inch mattress there instead of the 3-inch that is really there? Well, it eliminated having to sew that part of the cover into the bottom of the mattress.

 5) Great colors too.

 6) Pressboard is still being used extensively throughout the trailers. Swelling & warping should also continue.

 7) There s lots of things that look like 2"  silver steel I-beams crossing from left to right in the ceilings. Are these providing locations for hanging garments on longer trips? (Or maybe they get covered up by white tape before delivery LOL).

If I were buying a new trailer, I might skip Fleetwoods this year & get a Coleman next year! [:o][:(][>:]
