For the 1st time in at least 5 years, DH and I went away for a full week of vacation.  It was fantastic.  We went to Indian Lake (state park) locally (2+ hour drive).

We arrived on Sunday the 3rd and opted for full service -- cost more, but since we would be there all week, felt that hauling water and emptying the gray water would be a big hassle.  They only offer about 13 sites, and we were lucky to get one.  As soon as one would empty, it would get filled again.  They must have had a huge rainfall earlier as most of the sites were standing in water.  Ours wasn t too bad.  We were right on one of the channels of the lake.

It did rain several times Sun thru Tues, but nothing too big.  (I think it has rained every time we ve camped this year[:(][:(]).

Now, I tried the Avon Spray Repellant, Citronella candleS, back yard fogger, and YES the bounce sheets -- I ONLY got...... 35+ bites on legs.  So, if all of the above work, I would sure hate to see what I would look like if I didn t use anything[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]

 But all-in-all, it was fantastic.

The hard part now is catching up here and at work>

The reason is no one at my office can do anything.   I got 2 calls,

" can t get the computer turned on"

 " what s the password"

" the fax is out of ink"

" can t get the email to download"

 [:(][:(][:(][:(][:(][:(][:(][:(][:(][:(]

When the company downsized, I took a week off and no one could load paper into the copier.  They wanted to operations manager to drive 20+ miles to come up and load paper.  So since then it has only been a day or 2 at a time.

Eventually they ll learn, but it s a hard process.[:@][:@][:@][:@]

Sound like you need to use some DEET spray. 28% Deet will be enough.

angelsmom10I thought that misquitos were the national bird of Ontario[;)]  when we came back from a two week stint, I had about 5 bites per day of scares on my ankles, even with using deet!

It s great you got an opportunity to spend a week, I think anything more than 2 or 3 nights is so much more relaxing, except for one thing...the laundry when you get home[: (][:D]
