Only 4 more work days and one weekend day until we leave for our camping vacation!

We re camping for 4 days at Raystown Lake in PA with friends who are bringing their boat (so we don t have to bring ours).  We leave for Raystown this coming Sunday.  Then we pack up and drive next Thursday straight to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  That day is going to be long with the drive, but I think it ll be SO worth it.

DH and DD#1 are also bursting at the seams with anticipation of camping for a week as a family (with friends on the next site over).

We love Raystown because there isn t much else to do other than hanging out, swimming and boating, so we make elaborate meals.  We use all paper products so that there is hardly any cleanup since we only have electric on our sites.  THAT makes me a VERY happy camper!

Anyway, so far, we have steaks, Ultimate Marinated chicken and burger/dogs planned for 3 of the four nights meals.  Maybe we ll go to Hoss s for the fourth night s meal to give everyone a break from cooking.  Breakfast is going to be Pancakes or Homemade Belgium waffles with eggs and pork roll.  YUM! YUM!   Oh, and I just got the pie iron from pop-up times so we ll have to try some concoctions in that too!  Better stock up on sliced bread!  [;)]

I ll be forgetting about my diet next week.  Vacations are too far and few between to worry about THAT!  [:D]  It s been one LONG summer waiting for this vacation and it s finally close enough for me to taste - literally!

Does anyone go to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware?  What do we have to see and do there?  Are there any particularly good restaurants that we should hit?  I plan on not cooking much once there.  [:)]

campingboatersHave a great time on the trip.  You do know that food eaten while camping has no calories in it, right?

campingboatersThere are 3 different outlet centers at Rehobeth. We also like to do the Cape May Lewes Ferry.  A few weeks ago Raymond and I drove down, parked the car and walked on (they have discount cards for some of the outlets with the walk) on and paid the extra for the transportation pass to Cape May. We enjoy the ferry crossing, as it can really be relaxing and we did get to se dolphins.

I like Ocean City MD s Board walk better than Rehobeths. There are all kinds of tourisy things to do down there, put-put, water parks, etc...

Never been there, but there is some place called the rusty rudder, DHSS uses it for meetings, some kinda resturaunt.  We do not eat when we are down there, as we are passing through or at the outlets, we head over to 113 at Millsboro and hit the Bonanza.
