Looks like we re finally going to make a trip up into Colorado around mid-September.  Will be staying in the vicinity of Estes Park/RMNP.  Can anyone give me some idea of the weather we might expect - day/night temperature range, etc.?

Thanks for your input, and happy trails!

WayfarerLet s see, at Eses... Mid Sept...... Could be anywhere from daytime highs of 100 to 45 or so. Low at night between 50 and 30. Might have afternoon showers, might have evening snows...

Pretty much a guess. The way the weather has been, it should be nice 75 or so, and down to 40. But anything is possible. Glacier campground is closing, I beleive the 8th. But Morraine, right next to it, stays open all year. If you choose to stay in the park.

We are going to Morraine around Sept 15 thru the 18th. Elk should be good viewing, and listening to then. All of our favorite campgrounds are closing on the 14th. So we will just go there. We tend to stay away from RMNP in the summer, too many people.
