GuestI appreciate the thought Paul, but it is too late for me.  Like an idiot, I downloaded a " security update patch"  from " Microsoft"  on my computer at work, and it has been an absolutely insidious little bugger!  That s being nice....[:@]

I don t know what I was thinking...or not, as the case may have been.  A little voice told me to just delete it, but then I thought I remembered hearing a news story about Microsoft discovering a security loophole and issuing a patch for it.  I kept thinking that Microsoft wouldn t e-mail everyone, but then I justified it with " why did we register our software if they didn t want to keep us up to date?"   The answer to that question is that Micrposoft never e-mails security patches or software upgrades to its registered users.  Just another instance of gut instincts being right once again, ultimately ignored. [:(]

To second Paul s word of warning:  if anyone receives an e-mail from " MS Corporation"  or " Microsoft"  wanting to give you a security patch or upgrade, delete it immediately without opening the attachment.  If you have an older version of Internet Explorer that automatically opens your e-mail attachments when you click on the e-mail itself, upgrade it, as well as your virus protection right away!  If I have spared even one person from the nightmare of a computer virus, this post will not have been in vain.  GuestThanks Paul for the warning.  I got the e-mail from Dee4j too but my ISP doesn t allow us to open attachments.  We must have a block on them.  It is a pain but in this case I guess it saved me from getting a virus
