We have a big TV, but husband wants to put on a sway control as " security" .  Here s the question:  Our " mature"  Coleman has the tongue jack offset on the right front of the tongue, and we have a electric jack on the end.  Are the sway controls " left"  and/or " right"  handed?  I have been pricing them, and I saw that JC Whitney had both the left and right for sale, but no one else has noted it (Camping World, etc.).[:o]

Ebay has a good looking Reese right now, and has had others, but I m not sure if they will fit. Husband is very handy, and can weld, so installing is OK if we can get instructions but has not had one before, nor seen one in operation, so he s unsure too about the fit.   What do you think, experienced sway controlists, will a righty fit?  scpreacherswifeA lot of folks with Colemans use the Reese " righty"  the only thing is the label is upside down when mounted on the other side.

scpreacherswifeI put my sway bar on upside down too.  Just make sure the plate with the little ball that mounts under your tow ball will fit on the drivers side of the tow ball.[:)]

scpreacherswifeYep, the one on eBay is the same one we have.  The only thing I wonder about is that the TV-side ball plate we have mounts the ball on the left side (passenger side).  Guess it depends what we are calling right or left here???

Might want to ask the seller how the TV ball plate mounts.

As for friction sway control, I can say it made a world of difference towing a Bayside.  I won t leave home without it!
