Before towing *anywhere*.  Buy a good quality air pressure gauge and check them at home before you leave. Just towing the trailer down to the local gas station to check the tires can build up heat and raise the pressure enough for an erroneous reading (and I wouldn t trust a gas-station gauge anyway). Checking beforehand insures an accurate measurement.
