Question re Coleman converter panel

My front cargo locker light went out recently with an audible click from the direction of the converter.  Bulb is okay. Light doesn't work with either cover closed or open. Investigating the converter, I was surprised to find no specific info on it in my Bayside documents.  Nor could I see how to remove the brown plastic cover, if it even is removable.  I'm thinking a breaker tripped  on this thing but don't want to break the panel by having a look.  Could someone advise me on the converter in my 2002 Bayside? Thanks forum.

To get into the guts of the converter, pull away from the wall at the top of the converter cover (it's hinged at the bottom.  It is a friction fit at the top, so some may be tighter than others.

The light is on the 12v side of the converter.  My first guess would be one of the fuses, but I guess there may be a 110v breaker that powers the 12v side of the thing.

The cover confounded me at first also.

Thanks a lot.  I'll try it.

Yes the cover will come off the way Tim said.  I emailed Fleetwood and asked for a copy of the 12 volt and 110 volt wiring plans.  That way if I ever need them, I already have them on hand.

We recently had to replace the converter on our Coleman.   It went out as DH and a few others were bow hunting and the temps got pretty cold.   The items that could be plugged in would work, but the overhead lights, the furnace, and the storage trunk lights would not work.   We were really amazed while trying to figure out what the problem was, that Coleman did not furnish any kind of instructions or directions for the use of the converter.   There was a warranty, and in the PopUp manual some mention was made of the converter, but nothing else.   Not every one has a mind that can understand electric circuitry, so it seems like this is a pretty serious omission.   Even after we had the new one put in, and got it home, we had nothing to help us figure it out either.   And it was a different model.  We had to call the dealer back with some questions, and he kind of chuckled at one of our problems.   It seems that coleman, in all their wisdom, wires the circuits to the battery so that the colors for ground and positive are opposite.  instead of black to black, and white to white, it's black to white, and white to black.    But it doesn't have that info anywhere in the material that you get from them.   Go figure.

The panel easily opened.  The problem was a 15 amp blue fuse, easily replaced. Don't know why only a small 13inch DC TV and that cargo light would overload that branch of the converter.  Another oddity in this thread is that cargo light itself.  Opening the cargo lid triggers the light on only if the wiring harness is plugged into my tow vehicle and the tow vehicle's lights are on, but not if unplugged even with two good batteries on the tongue.  Not a big deal I guess.  Just seems like it would be a lot more useful if it ran off the battery.  Anyone else notice this?   Thanks forum.

That is the way Fleetwood wires the light.  The light only comes on when the lid is lifted, if the trailer is plugged into the TV.

I have the below Coleman/Fleetwood wiring diagrams.  I would guess that the schematic didn't really change for 02, if you want l will be happy to e-mail them to you.
