Thinks have a  way of working for the best ....

As you all knew, we were going to get a bank loan to pay for Lee's PU, and slowly pay it back month by month, say 50 bucks a month and be done in a year or two.

We just got a letter from our bank saying that the property taxes for our old house went up a lot, and our payments for the tax will have to go up by 150 bucks a month !!!   We have a already very tight budget, and with the new house's new property taxes being higher then the town house and not being put into the budget (We can/could tackle say  a modest 75 bucks increase for this difference), we are so in the red now. A Whopping 150 bucks a month ! I don't think we will be able to manage this if thinks keep going up this way. I hope I find a job very quickly ..... this might turn into a nightmare very quickly ...


To add, I saw the ad almost as soon as it was posted adn drooled over it, but reality has a way of biting real hard till you wake up. Newish  canvas too :)

Oddly enough, there was another guy over at iRV2 that had wrecked his and was towing to the junk yard as he figured it was too old to fix back up, just bought $700 worth of new canvas for it too. However, the powers that be at iRV2 made them take the ad off the website (seems it violates their for sale policy), and also made Kajun take his ad off too.

When the time is right, you will be able to buy that camper.  For now, just enjoy what you do have and keep your goal of owning a camper someday.  Oh, if you think your taxes have been raised unfairly, then most places have a way to appeal to get them lowered.  It might be worth checking into.

5'th year we had that house and it gets increased every year. It is not like we are getting new services, or better services every year. AS the resale prices of the houses goes up property taxes sky rockets, it is almost like a second mortgage .......Not only our house, the whole subdivision we live in is this way. It is a popular area, and houses are selling like hotcakes. It is a  good thing to live i a good area I guess.

Here!!!!!!!!It may need some work but I'll bet with some elbow grease... After all I made a 67 Skamper look great and it was a thousand times worse!!!

We can't afford to sepnd anymoney on a PU anymore. Our property taxes went up 150 bucks a  month ... I am down and down  :(
