PUT Bumper Sticker Sightings

I saw one today on a Coleman being towed by a Red Truck (maybe a Ford,not sure) on US 1 north going toward Sanford, NC. Right above the PUT sticker which was located on the right traveling side was a #3 and #8 decal. I know these folks were probably on the way home from camping at the Pop Secret Race at "The Rock" (North Carolina Speedway) in Rockingham. They made a right turn onto NC78 at the Tramway light at Hardee's. Whoever it was, please sign in here, too.  Time of this sighting was about 10a.m.

You were lucky to see a fellow PUT'er.  We always check & check but have yet to see one (unless we're at a rally or something).  If we DID actually see one, I am not sure how we'd let them know WE are PUT'ers as well.  We have a "no bumper sticker" rule for the tow vehicles, but we have always had a sticker on our PU's.  I am jealous that you "found" one.  :-)

Thanks!  I think if you spot someone with a PUT bumper sticker, you would just do a lot of waving.  Maybe someone has an idea for a special signal to let people know we saw their sticker.

Why not put the bumper sticker on a magnet? That way you can put it on and take it off as needed.

That's what I did. I went to a sign shop and bought some magnetic scrap and put the sticker on that. I have one on my car and my wife's.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, I spotted her sticker and met Sandykayak on the street here in Miami, and spotted Rstaffords sticker at Long Key Sp and met his family. I know Rob didn't join back up on PUT but Sandy did although I haven't seen any posts from her in awhile. It's exciting when you spot one.

We put a magnet on ours so we could move it to the bumper of the truck once we were popped up, and someone absconded with it!:(

August 2002 someone saw us leaving Acadia NP in Maine.  I have 2 on the PU, but don't put bumper stickers on the TV either.  I have made 4 magnetic ones for the TV.  Two were lost when I forgot to take it off at the automatic car wash and one just disappeared.  I have never spotted a bumper sticker unless it was on a group trip.

4 for the TV

Hmmmmmm, maybe the bumper stickers need some kind of serial number since they are being taken.  Hope the thief mounted them to their popup, though.   Dave, do these bumper stickers come with any kind of warranty.

I guess we don't get out enough for anyone to see us

I saw one in the recent PUT magazine where someone had damaged their tow vehicle bumper and had used the PUT bumper sticker to cover the damage.:eek:   Looked like a quick fix at a reasonable cost, to me.
