I've had PBS on all day. It's fund raising time, which can be a pain, but it's also when they have some really great specials. Right now, I'm watching one (called American Soundtrack) with all the folk singers from the 60's. I have to say, the music from that era is the only thing I really miss. (yes, I can actually listen to it still, but it's not the same if everyone else isn't singing it too.) I just listened to Judy Collins,Tom Paxton, Trini Lopez, and the Seekers are on right now. ("there's a new world somewhere.... I know I'll never find another you") Does this ever take me back. Not too long ago we had a thread asking where we were when kennedy was shot, and a few of us talked about how that was the beginning of a period where music and movies began to make a social statement. The music on this show is exactly that.

I also have found that these special shows during their fundraisers can bring back many memories of my growing up years.  Bring on the Bluegrass, the Doo-Wop, Buddy Holly, Elvis and others......in the future, I hope.:)

I love it when they show a movie for fundfaising.  Usually "Anne of Green Gables" shows up - it's my favorite! :)

I love it when they do the "Red Green" marathons during the telethons.:W

I've actually bid on items, but have lost out too many times.
