I really didn't want to post this, but we are desperate to get rid of.

We have owned a timeshare for over 5 years in Kissimmee FL near Disney and have never used it (don't even want to explain why we bought it).  We have paid the maintenance fees every year, but without using it.  We had listed earlier this year on ebay without any responses.  We have relisted it at a blow-out price.  As we did not use this year's week, I am assuming that the week can still be used this year, pending availability (it is a red week 44 - floating -- is what we were told).

If someone is interested or knows of someone, please go to this link.....

The maintenance fees breaks down to the less than $65 a night to stay near Disney.

We have to get rid of this NOW - so please pass along to anyone you may know who is interested.

THANKS!

Good to see you back on the boards!

DW brought a timeshare (in Gatlinburg, TN) with her when we married.  We have gotten some use of it but hardly enough to justify the expense.  That maintenance fee kills me.  I don't suppose we will ever really get ahead on the thing but I hope we get to use it more when we move back to KY next year.  We'll see.

Good luck selling yours!

It's good to see you back on the board and I wish you good luck in selling.  I passed the info on to someone who might want it..

Nancy good luck with it. If I was working I woould definitely bid on that timeshare, the maintenance fee is annual right ? It looks like a good deal indeed.

Glad to see you on the board again, you know where the campfire is right ? Hint Hint  :D

Yes the maintenance fee is yearly, so it breaks down to just a little over $65 a night. We took a tour of the time share when we bought it and it was just like an apartment (very spacious).

Nice to see you back, but vacation for us means camping.

B-flat

Got is sold yet?  Not really my idea of "camping" but looks nice and will be right for someone.

No, it did not sell, but we relisted it.  We'll most probably end up spending more on listing it, then what we'll make on it, but at least we won't have to pay the maintenance fees again next year.  This past year we weren't going to pay them, but since it was paid off, we were hoping to at least get a few hundred at least for it.

Can't you rent it out to friends and family, it is one week a year ? Subsidize the maintenance fee's that way and keep it ? I am sure people would easily pay 200 bucks for a week easy ! Just an idea ......

B-flat

It might be a good idea to try to rent it.  I also notice that week can be exchanged for other resort areas worldwide.  The trick is getting the week you want elsewhere.  Some family that loves to be near Disney will surely want that timeshare.

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone who has tried to help -- finally got some bidding on this and it will be gone Friday a.m.

We are so excited to get rid of it, since DH is still unemployed, we just didn't want to pay the maintenance fees again.

I don't know if any of your friends that you passed this to is bidding, but it will go for a great price.

One guy emailed me and hopes to get it as a Christmas gift.

Again THANKS!!!!

NightOwl

Nancy, this is WONDERFUL news!  It's almost like a Chirstmas Present for YOU!

birol

I am so glad it is going to sell  ! I hope it goes for a lot of money !

B-flat

Congrats.....both the Seller and Buyer will now have a great Christmas.:)
