We have a few friends over on New Years Eve.  At midnight we will be eating pork and sauerkraut which is a central PA tradition.  What do you do? :)

We used to try to get together with friends, but now we all have kids so we'l have to postpone it for a few years!

What I'll be doing: SLEEPING!  :D  :D  :D

We will be bowling with our church from 10pm to 2 am.

We've got dinner with friends at a supper club at 6, then home for a few drinks, then to a local bar to hear my friend's band play.

No I'm not driving much tonite, except to the supper club and back. We only live 2 blocks from the bar.:W

This year........nothing. Staying home and maybe, just maybe stay awake til the ball drops.

Sold my Viking and the couple buying it is driving up from VA and arriving around 10-11AM tomorrow to give it the once over and take it home with them. So I guess they will be spending NY's Eve driving up to Maine.

FYI Sold thru the PUT Arvee Classifieds

We are going out to Dinner and not partying too much this year. If awake we'll watch the celebration on the big screen and maybe see the acorn drop.

On New Year's Day we will  eat lots of Black Eyed Peas or Hoppin John, maybe some Collards with fried out side meat, and other Southern Goodies.

6Quigs

We will be doing the same as we have done the past few years.
Living on the west coast, which is 3 hours behind the east, when the ball drops at midnight in times square, it is only 9:00pm over here.
We will have some neighbours over with their kids, and do the countdown as we watch the ball drop live on TV, wish them all a happy new year, and then head to bed at a reasonable hour :)

charlie, are you buying anything else?  Are you going to the "dark side?"  :D

Gone-Camping

I stopped going out on New Years Eve years ago! I don't drink, but found that dealing with drunk drivers, and getting stuck at rather lengthy Police Check-points are just not worth it. I haven't actually stayed awake to greet the new year in quite some time! If it were warmer out around here, I'd go camping instead!!!! :D

Starryart

That's what I'm doing.....CAMPING!!! Yeah!

Andrea, I haven't posted this too much but I thought you saw...........my sig line.  I drove to Wisconsin a few weeks ago and picked up a 2004 Trail-Lite Bantam B23S Hybrid, a little closer to the gray side I think.

The couple arrived at 9AM this morning and we took the popup to the high school parking lot. I gave them a walk through like no other. We set everything up including the screen room, tried every appliance and then they came back and picked up my PVC bike rack and headed back to VA around 1130.

Wow, what a way to spend New Year's.....selling your Popup to a nice couple, setting up for them and showing them everything before sending them on their way.   They are so lucky to not have to stick around with some dealer saleman who wouldn't have wanted to do the setup.  Sounds like you gave them red carpet treatment.  I'm sure they will enjoy that popup.  Did you kiss it goodbye and thank it for the memories?:)

WORKING! Running customer statements and doing year end on our computer systems. Just like I've been doing every New Year's for the past 20 years!!! USUALLY get home before midnight, but since I have to go back in to review reports and do the final updates early on the 1st, I usually just go to bed.
It's an exciting life I lead!!!
