Here is a video of my next TV. I'm not sure what kind of souped up stuff this truck has, but it is impressive. This is a large file, so high speed access is recommended.

So you folks that can't get the video know what it is, it is an F250 (maybe an F350 without the dual rear wheels?) at a drag strip. It looks like the thing is shot out of a rubber band!! It pulled an 11.42 in the 1/4 mile, 118 mph!!!

Nice looking truck.  Sure would get you to the camp site faster;)

Been cruising the Ford truck boards, have you, Larry?:J

According to the guys at F150 online and Ford Truck Enthusiasts, it's a 2002 F-350 turbo diesel 7.0 litre with a balanced and blueprinted engine and tranny upgrades.

Gotta love those big Ford trucks!:W

Actually, I saw it at an atv board. I saw another video of a Silverado and a Dodge Dually that looked the same. However, this Ford video was the most impressive.

It  initially gave me the impression that the small car was decelerating after the initial acceleration ! Nice choice for a tow vehicle Larry :)

Want to see a TOUGH truck?  Check this out: http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/prog28/hilux_broadband.ram

Glad it wasn't my truck!

Unbelievable!

Don't get suckered by fancy videos

Get the real facts, like what is the tow capacity on that thing??

I was checking out the new Chevy Truck, the $40,000 SSR with the 5.3 litre V8, and it only has a 2,500 lb tow capacity

Otherwise, nice video Larry, thanks for sharing.

Probably because it has more of a sporty suspension, doesn't it?

Yea, sporty suspension, geared for the strip.  The 2004 Ford SVT Lightning isn't much better.  380 hp, 450 lb-ft, rated at 142 mph, 5,000 lbs towing capacity... same as my truck, but I only have 170 hp, and 200 ft-lbs of torque.  He's probably not much faster in the 1/4 mile either, ahem.   :p

Guys that buy such trucks, well, don't need a truck, and you'd probably have a hard time finding one with a hitch on it.      Dang city boys!
