DW and I just attended the Dulles Expo RV show.  She's been wanting a hardside and I want to stay with our PU.  Obvious comprimise is a hybrid.  We saw this one we liked, it had everything she was looking for.  Does anyone have any experience with this model? Will I need any special towing accessories, like a WD hitch (tow vehicle is a 02 Surburban) for example.  Anything else?
Thanks for your advice.

I don't know how your burb is setup, we have an 03 Avalanche and use a Equa-li-zer hitch, depending on how your burb is setup you may or may not need it, but the anti-sway feature is a major plus as using a friction sway control with a 23' may not be enough.  Do you have an electric brake controller already? If not you'll need one with your Hybrid.  You'll also want towing mirrors so you can see around the rig, McKesh are top of the line, but spendy.  We went with the slip on style and they've worked out just fine.

Your Suburban is probably heavier than my F150 regular cab/short bed. My dealer told me that even for my set up, that a WDH would be overkill. They said that they would sell it to me but that the only real difference I would notice would be on a vaery bumpy road.  I do use a Reese antisway bar. Have driven without it when it (they had to make a modified ball for the trailer and their weld gave) broke, really felt those trucks over the Delaware Memorial Bridge.

Thanks Folks for the info.  My main concern would be sway, like was mentioned, and I think that for peace of mind sake I will probably go with an anti-sway WDH.  I had one incident with sway with our Coleman Mesa and that was enough.  Thanks again.
