Has anyone stayed at Lake Pemaquid Campground near Damariscotta?  Have heard it s a nice place, but didn t find any reviews here or on rvparkreviews.  Thanks!

CamperrooWe have not camped there, although it is on our list of places to go - maybe next year.  The Damariscotta region is very nice - if you go, please post your " results" !  I would love to hear how you found the campground.

CamperrooWe have been there 2 times.  The first time was about 7-8 years ago.  We loved the place, bathrooms were nice, pool area was nice, new activity hall nice store and great boat rentals.  We returned 2 years ago because we had such a great time the first time around, unfortunately be found it a bit different.  The bathrooms were the same but dirty, the boats were in tough shape, the pool liner was falling in the pool, the hot tubs were not all working, the great new activity building was full of junk.  They did crowd us into a small building for some entertainment which was good one night, another night they had a 3 piece rock band in.

They do have a skate park and I would not put the place on a do not visit list, we were just very disappointed compaired to our first visit.  It could be a great place if it was cleaned up a bit.

CamperrooI just saw this post so I hope I m not too late.

My friend and I with our teenagers rented a cabin there. It was about 10 years ago. I did not care for the place. Where we rented our cabin was a boardwalk to the lake....where you were suppose to jump had bugs flying around it. I was afraid if my mouth was open......get the picture. We had gone the 3rd week of July and when the fog rolls in......it rolls in. The pool was find at that time......had great lobster dinners that you could buy.....entertainment was ok. Small game room for kids. I would not go there again

HI,
we stayed there last summer. if you have kids, mine are 13 and 4 it was great for them. Lots of things to do. But I thought they crowded people in there. Also if you were above a whisper at the camp fire they came around and told you to be quite. Not a place I would go back to, just becouse of that!
