Duct Tape, it can be used for almost anything! What are some of the things you've done with it, weird or not? This should get interesting!!!!..........Ed

1) I've used it as a temperary fix on a broken radiator hose.

2) Now the dumbest thing I've done with it, when I was 17 or so i went to a
party with some friends  and we were drinking, after we had been drinking for a        few hours my buddy Norman passed out so my other buddy Kevin and I thought it would be funny to Duct tape his "You Know What Cheeks" together. The next day he woke up freaking out, we never confessed to it, we just said we didn't know who had done it. Mann when you rip that stuff off the hair comes with it. I know it was a stupid thing to do but we were young and drunk!!!!!!!!!!   :J  :!

Well, well... I make sure that I always have at least a full roll with me on trips (I'm sure most of us do) and so far have only used it (every weekend) to secure my American Flag (6 foot pole) to the "receipt post" at the front of our sites.

I consider duct tape a tool of sorts and understand its potential integral nature.  While I have never used it as has been reported in the initial thread, that type of use could be considered in a temporary capacity to ensure a successful arrival at the vault/flush facility late at night when you're camped a good distance away.  Maybe not...

Take notice of that Dee!!!!!!  We could have done that instead of taking a picture of you with a Zucchini.

Had a friend who used it to duct tape the front end of his Chevy truck after hitting an elk on his way to Montana. Wish I could find the picture.

I had a friend who ran his s-10 blazer for several years with the duct tape holding the front windshield in place, patching a rust spot in the roof that went clear through, and also to hold on the front fenders....the bad thing is that the tape matched his pain, so unless you looked real close, you wouldn't know the tape was there...the vehicle lasted almost 400,000 miles and when he finally go rid of it it only had 1st and 5th gears and no e-brake and would not stay in gear when parked, so you had to use wheel chocks

When I was in off-road racing (many years ago), duct tape was standard issue. It was used to hold lots of stuff to the roll bars on our cars. It was the only thing that would ensure your fire extinguisher to stay in place and not hit you in the head somewhere along the way.

We also used it to reattach just about everything that fell off of the vehicle. One time, during the Baja 500, I rolled the car and broke both (top) headlamp mounts. I finished the race with the headlamps (and just about everything else) securely held in place with duct tape.

Once in Alaska we used a whole lot of DT to make a Piper Super Cub air worthy enough to get us off of a Glacier and back to camp

I consider myself a master of duct tape (note my avitar is the logo of Red Green's Possum Lodge), but my DS is a real specialist.

He has presented his mother with duct tape roses and rose buds.  He has a line of duct tape wallets that he sells.  He has been a faithful follower of the Duct Tape page-a-day calendar for several years (published by the Duct Tape Guys), and never misses an opportunity to recommend duct tape as a solution.

BTW, the Duct Tape Guys are from central Minnesota, and attended the same school my DW just graduated from. They refer to Red Gren as a "Canadian Duct Tape Evangelist."  Why, in their book store, you can find a Yin Yang pack containing, what else, Duct Tape and WD-40.

Once when we were camping we saw a older, much enjoyed popup with a big hole in the canvas repaired with the seat from a pair of blue jeans held in by duct tape!

That was the most original patch job I've ever seen

During WWII they first learned that they could patch bullet holes in planes with Duct Tape. It was a fast repair and it worked just fine.
