I have always use a Reese single Friction Sway Bar on our Coleman Bayside and never had a problem with sway.  My TV was a 1500 Silverado.  We just bought a 2001 Tahoe.  The hitch and sway bar on the Silverado was installed by the RV dealer when we bought the popup.  The new TV has a receiver hitch already on it but no ball mount.  As I was looking at ball mounts I realize I will need to get the sway bar extention arm that stick out from the ball mount for the sway bar to connect to.  As I was looking around on the internet I've read that alot of people do not like the single friction sway bar but prefer the dual cam sway bars.  They are about $50 more and seem more complicated to use.  Does anyone have any experience with the dual cam sway bars?  I'd like to hear what people think about them and are they worth the extra $$$ and how complicated are they to use?
Thanks once again.

Bruce #1 dual cam sway control only works with a regular weight distribution hitch. Quite a bit of overkill for a PU even at 3500 pounds. Looks like you've been "hanging around" the TT sites. ;)
As for mounting the sawy control front ball, Reese makes a plate that goes under the ball on the drawbar so it's a DIY installation and doesn't need a special drawbar or welded on ball.
It's Reese part number #26003 for a class III, class IV 2 inch receiver drawbar and fits any drop or rise. If the old ball was welded to the other hitch you can also get a replacement ball part number #58060 which comes with nut and washer to attach it to the plate.

MIke hit the nail on the head, a WDH with your tow vehicle would probably be overkill.

Stick with the friction sway control and you shouldn't have any problems.

Why wouldn't you use the ballmount from the Silverado on the Tahoe?  Should be at the same height...since a Tahoe is built on the short bed pickup truck frame.

Unless like me you forget to pull the drawbar when you trade the truck it. Doooh.

Seriously, unless the hitch was the same brand there's a good chance the receiver opening can be +/- 3 inches from the other one. Been there, done that, bought new draw bars for both reasons.

I have a whole collection of drawbars...different trailers, different tow vehicles.  So I can't say much...

Never thought about the hitch brand making a difference.

I am using a new ball mount because the length of the old one was 11 1/2 inches long.  The new one is 9 inches and I think I could have use an 8 inch one.  I was amazed at the difference in the length.  The SUV has a different brand of receiver and I guess that makes a difference.  It is still the same height, but I did not want the ball sticking so far away from the SUV.  A "thank you" to all of you for your input.

None of my business, but I always use the longest drawbar I can for the camper because it allows me to step over the tongue easier, get in the tailgate of the Tahoe, and I figure it gives me a few more feet of manuevering without hitting the bumper in a jackknife (when backing).  Additionally, it gives a couple of inches of overshoot safety zone for hooking up before I would hit the step bumper...

I'm not going to worry about the additional leverage on the rear of the TV for a couple of inches.
