Gone-Camping

I caught the part about it being 3 pages. It still goes against everything I've ever been told (or taught) about resumes. They shouldn't be over one (1) page, plus a cover letter! Resumes that extend to 2 pages are the ones that generally don't get read. I've learned this from the newpaper, as well as the resume builder programs I've had. In every instance, it's "suggested" that a resume should not exceed one (1) page.

I've had to work hard at keeping mine down to one page also (although in recent years no resume would have helped me). Quite frankly, I've done better just applying for jobs than I have using a resume!

There's no way I could keep my resume down to one page but then I am not looking to get a job anywhere.  I've been perfectly happy with the one I have been in for the last 25 years.  Most of my resume has to do with education, local, state and national  professional committee service as well as some offices held, service in local organizations like the Chamber of Commerce and charities.  It's important to have some of those listed in a resume or else the folks where you are applying for a job will think you are some kind of recluse without any purpose in life or any social activities......which in turn makes them think you won't fit into the company anywhere.

I just shredded my resume, this is depressing, can we talk about something else please ?

Sounds like you just need a job traveling.... visit everyone around the country.

There's plenty of jobs for you right here in NC.  I see advertisements in the paper all the time for folks with your qualifications.

Birol,

I hope that my friend contacted you about work here in NC...  It would be great to have you down this way.  I have you in my prayers every day.

I will take as many pictures for you as you want..  Remember, Spring is almost here and I'll be shooting more..  Look for some nice macros of flowers soon..

Loadedcamera, spring is already here.  The daffodils are blooming, the saucer magnolias are opening (their blossoms come out before their leaves with nice soft lavendar tones), some of the trees look like they will pop into leaves and the weather is very warm.  It looks like most of the cold has left us.  Birol, come on down to NC and get a job and live at less cost.  Heating and cooling is less expensive and taxes are low.
