Ahhh..but that's only if you ONLY use it in the food!

I am going to have to disagree with you anglesmom.  The amount of alcohol left after cooking depends on the length and temperature of cooking.  There are many people who do not react well to alcohol in any form so we must be careful when serving dishes with alcohol as an ingredient.  I don't process alcohol well and will not order things I know to contain it, nor do we use it in cooking at home.
