What would you buy ? Caping related that is ! Assume that you won more than enough to last you and your children ! What would really be the one or two things you would buy which is camping related ? Would you stop camping maybe ?

I am guessing I would be torn between a Nice strong Pickup and a 5'th wheel versus a Class A tailed by a toad ! I would probably go with a  5'th wheel though !

Tell us what would you prefer ?

Well if it was alot of money.... I would buy a log cabin near a camground and run the campground.... Also If i had some extra i would buy you a pop up!!:)

First would be a big lodge type home where there would be room for all my kids and loved ones, not just to visit, but to stay as long as they want.

Next a place for my friends and family in the Native community to come and work their crafts and art, and to teach and pass on the tradition and the path to the young people.

And next, (oh, this is all camping related, right?)  this would all be on a huge piece of land that would have all the kinds of camping experiences that we could want, from primitive to luxury.

I would want a nice big piece of land with rivers, a lake, plenty of hiking trails (ranging easy for little kids to very challenging for big kids), maybe some cabins, a pool, with a large kids pool besides, a small store, about 2 dozen pop-ups for people who cannot afford to buy one to come for a few nights, a huge monitered playground for kids, including little houses and teepees with little pathways and gardens to make a small village for the kids to play in, a huge sandbox filled with tons of sand toys for our Annual Sandcastle Contest ( this would be able to be covered in the winter and made into an ice rink to skate on!), hmmm.... a doggie-day care, golf carts for people who can't get around well (free, of course), luxury bathrooms that have the shower, tub/jacuzzi, small washer/drier, and toilet/bidet all in one room, plus the baby changing stations too. This area would be very quiet, and we would be very strict with the quiet hours. We would have a "family" section and maybe a "singles" section, because families usually are a different breed than singles!! Also Class A's and the rest will have to be in thier own section, away from the rural "Pop-ups only" section! It would rarely rain, and never go above 90 degrees or below 55 degrees! We would have a church service every Sunday am, for those who would like to go, if not-sleep in ( Although being Apostolic, we will most likely wake you up praising God!! :D ), there would be a free continental breakfast in the mornings, a sitting garden for tea in the afternoon, and bonfires every night! Hmmmm.. and did I mention this would all be within walking distance to the ocean with a section of private beach, with a lifeguard, cabanas, lounge chairs (so you don't have to carry your own) swimming lessons, free sunblock for kids, and surfboard rentals!!!

Don't you love dreaming?

After the weekend we had, #1 would be replace all vehicles with a vehicle that could tow are camper.

Then I would love to own a CG.

Anyone want to go into business??

I would by a new butt!  Mine has a crack in it :D  :D  :D

I would buy the ultimate RV, an AIRPLANE.

:-() If I won the lottery (millions of $), I would buy my DH a new pick-up truck (4x4 Quad cab with a 6' bed), get a larger hybrid (25' with a slide and all the amenities), buy some land that we could camp/snowmobile on, buy my parents a new house -- or maybe put it on the land where we would camp... and then we'd need a bigger property/house here to park all of these new things on!

I don't think my life would change all that much.  I'd still want to work, but I'd most likely do something (contracting) that would allow me free time in the winter to ski and time in the summer to take long trips across the country to teach my kids about the United States.  My parents took us across the country each year for a month (camping).  :tent:  I feel like it really opened up my world to the differences in people and places out there.
OK, time to stop dreaming and get back to work.  :compumad:

Wow, I just remembered, I never win more than about $2 win I do hit the right numbers.   I guess I'll just stick with buying a small bottle of bug spray.

I would definitely be up the street to buy a new motor home.  That would be for travel to bluegrass festivals.  I'd also want a TT for some of the other places I might not want to take the MH.

I would buy a large RV...we can't decide on 5th wheel or Class A yet.. and just travel the country stopping to see and visit anything we wanted to for as long as we wanted. After we traveled for several years...until we were tired of it..I'd buy a nice log house in whatever state we had fallen in love with during our travels.... on a large hunk of land in the mountains with a lake or river on our land for good bass fishing.  I want most of the land natural so there isn't a lot of yard work, but I want some areas to plant veggies and flowers in (my playing in the dirt, as my DH calls it...). I want large rockers on the porch and a big outdoor fireplace.  I want an outdoor jacuzzi on top of a hill with an amazing view of a valley below.

Starcraft Dad

I would like to find some land and build a Luxury resort strictly for pop up campers at reasonable family prices. Very large sites, swimming pool and all the luxury amenities.  Of course I would have to have someone run it.  I will be full timing in my Terra Wind, running around the country.  But yes I would still have a pop up.  The class A would be for traveling around the country but the pop up would be for camping.  After all, I can't break my own rules for a luxury pop up resort.:yikes:

Gone-Camping

The first thing I'd do is pay off everything I owe...

Then I'd buy a big new diesel F350 and a huge triple slide Fiver (to satisfy my camping needs)

Then I'd load up that fiver, and go see the whole country, and of course Canada and Alaska too.

When I was done touring (in a year or two), I'd look into buying a huge chunk of land near a great destination (Blue Ridge Mountains come to mind, but other places do too) and build a campground the way I think it should be done! Trust me, I don't think anyone here would dislike my idea of a campground, eveny Fort Wilderness may come up and take some notes!!!

Then I'd hire someone to run it for me, so I can go tour the country again!

After making sure our parents were set for the rest of their lives, our kids were provided with a substantial amount though not sure "set" would be good! and my oldest brother (Viet Nam Veteran) was set. Whatever was left would go into the best pop-up and TV or smallish Class C, that would fit our needs and I would take off and travel every mile of the United States and Canada that I could travel! That would include all the state and provincial parks that I could get into!

After paying off our home and vehicles, I would do the same for several friends. We would then add a pool, deck, a/c, new windows and a few other goodies to our existing house.  As for camping stuff, I think we'd get a bigger p/u.  We love our tow vehicles so those probably wouldn't change. For fun, I'd get a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.  Can you tell we've dreamed of this before?

Oh yes, depending of the size of the win, we'd donate significant $$ to the research hospital (U of M, Ann Arbor Michigan.  GO BLUE) that helped us have our daughter.
