PJay and I were out this afternoon.  What we did, we've done before.  It was her idea.  I thought looking would scare her off.  I thought price tags would scare her off.

No luck.

We're looking three years out.  we're looking at some fairly long class C's.   :yikes:  :yikes:  :yikes:

Today she brought up the possibility of having a small Toad.

I underestimated the power of the dark side... :%

The latest:

She was impressed with the Kodiaks at a nearby place.  That would be cool; I might get to win an argument I lost 15 years ago and get a pickup truck to tow it with.  High fuel proces could make a late model used 1500 sized pickup a bargain...hmmm...

However, she was also impressed with the leaseback arrangement they have on new class C's.  Myself, I wouldn't lend my ~$7K, 7 year old pop-up to people I know.  Do I really want to rent my brand new ~$65K class C to total strangers?

Oh, and a TOAD is now viewed as a necessity.

Despite a glimmer of hope, the dark side is getting darker...

Plan for future vehicle is a good SUV/Van that is also a good tow vehicle. And the way things are looking, said vehicle has yet to be made. But someday, someday we'll have more kids. THEN can we borrow  :p

We were told by a hybrid salesman (he wispered so his dealer wouldn't hear) that if we sold the Taj MaHaul ourselves we should be able to get $7,200 for it, even without A/C.

Not yet, not yet.

DH & I briefly considered getting rid of our Bayside & getting a hybrid.  Mainly because I just can't see wasting the bed space in a TT & also because air flow stinks so you'd have to have air conditioning.

Anyway, we decided that there were plenty of other things we could spend our money on, especially since the girls are getting older & before we know it we'd be ready for a different sized camper.  

I certainly understand the lure of some of those big 5th wheels, but is it really camping?  I guess it's a big issue for someone like me who spent countless summers while growing up in a pop-up.
