Relay for Life

Has anyone ever done the Cancer relay for life?/ I am thinking of doing it this year, last year I was too weak and would not have made it around the track.. This year it if June 4th at our near by high school.

I walked with a group from our school several years ago and it was awesome.  I got the 11 pm - 1 am shift and was amazed at how many people were out at that late hour.

It was breath-taking to see all the memorials that people put out in rememberance of loved ones and I especially remember one older gentleman pushing his wife around the track in a wheel chair.  I later learned that she passed away a few days after the event.

I don't remember how much $$ our team raised but it was a significant amount. Plus, several employers in our area "match" contributions so that helped a lot.
