That is the reason I asked, (Sorry for hijacking the thread) Their bed seems to bne small, I thought it would not accomodate any 5'th whels at all. I was thining maybe it would be an ideal tow vehicle for those  who pull a regular PU/TT and maybe upgrade to a 5'th wheel later on. probably not.

Quote from: brainpauseIt would have to be a small one, as most Avalanches are built on a 1/2 ton chassis (Not sure, but I THINK there are some 2500 Avalanches out there). 3/4 ton trucks/chassis (F250/2500) are minimum ideal for a fiver. Also, there might not be enough clearance around all the trim that is on an Avalanche.

Birol,
The Avalanche is actually a Suburban w/ the modified rear end.  The Av is the exact length of the Suburban and has the exact same towing capacity of the Burb.  The 2500 Av has a much greater towing capacity especially with the optional 8.1L motor.  I did not need the slurp of the larger motor or the capacity to tow 11k at this time.  Maybe in the future.  There is talk of the ability of a 5th wheel attachment but nothing has been developed at this time.
