The following was sent to me today by one of my lady friends who is active in all sorts of activities to help those less fortunate than she.  I went out to the site and it looks legit to my eye - the trick being advertisers pay into a fund for mammograms based on the number of visits.  That being said, please read the following and act as your heart guides you.

"The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman.

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a
mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle). This doesn't cost you a
thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits
to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

AGAIN, PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS TO TELL 10 TODAY"

If this has been posted here before, please excuse me.  I did a search and found nothing on it.

Thanks for the reminder! I used to go there all the time and fell out of the habit!
Thank you!

DH has gotton me into the habit of checking out things like this, and this is what I found:

http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/charity/mammogram.asp

It takes 45,000 clicks to set a woman up with a free mammogram.  The good thing is, although you can only click once a day, you can go back unnumerable times!

Thanks for this abbear, we never know who will be touched with this awful disease.

The gal that sent this to me is usually very good about checking snopes (which is why I didn't).  But daunting as it seems, at least the site does what it says.
And in web terms 45000 isn't really that outrageous.  If pennies from schoolkids could rebuild the USS Constitution (Old Ironsides) maybe our mouseclicks can save just one person.

I have to go click on that link now...

Just means we all should mark this one and remember to click!  I'd never seen it before but have it bookmarked now!

I don't think they will have any problem getting that many clicks!  For $30. a year they will double your click!  Pretty neat, and for a great cause!

I have gone there and clicked many times.  The email about it has circulated through many times and for a very worthy cause.
