Birol, I have a feeling that life for ALL of your family is   about to start getting better slowly but surely!  The popup--despite  all the difficulties in bringing it home and  actually making it totally your own--is a very good omen :).

Please tell Babette and your children for us that all 4 of you have many caring friends at PUT who rejoice for your family when things look brighter and who share your disapppointments when things have been so  personally difficult these last, long months.

We know that camping is not Babette's idea of a great time, but do make sure she knows that we think she is very special (just as we do all non-camping spouses of our buddies) and that "love of camping" is not a necessity for friendship  in our eyes, although it is clearly what binds most of us together at PUT.

I am sure she is delighted for you and the children that they will have such a wholesome and worthwhile way of enjoying their summer holiday from school.  There is nothing more morally valuable or rewarding for kids than learning about nature; learning to love it, respect it, and want to  protect it.

:S  Our little planet is a miraculous  Creation--unique in our great universe.  And how  inspiring that you have struggled with such dedication to guarantee  that your children will be able to partake in that miracle.  For this determination by you to be a good father, many of us love, respect, and admire you. :S

Some of us may send a little  popup housewarming gift for you, helping in some kind of "material way,"  others  will just be happy for you and cheer you on with   gifts of the spirit.  :!  :W

We at PUT have just participated with you in something special and heartwarming--it's so  good to have something  uplifting to think about in a world with so much sadness and  tragedy scattered about its surface.. :C  :U

Just remember that sometimes you may feel   :banghead:
Or you may even want to  :swear: or even  :%.

But around here you will always be  :theking:.

Even though sometimes we may get a little  :eyecrazy:

Here's to you   :!  :-()    :W

B, your excellent adventure is just getting started.  I just want to let you know that the things that you have shared with us during the trials and tribulations of this process of becoming a PU owner have helped me, and maybe some of the others on this board too.   I watched you stick to this project, for a long time, weathering disappointments and setbacks, but never giving up.  I learned from your example.   I saw that your sense of humor was evident no matter how much you may have thought this would never happen, and you made me smile too.   I've sat here at my computer and refreshed page after page trying to keep up with the bidding and posts, with many of the others on the board, and it reinforced the meaning of true friendship for me.   I want to thank you for reminding all of us that not one of us can accomplish anything here in this community of PU's without the rest.   This wouldn't be a community without people like you, B.    I know that you will face the other aspects of your life with the same tenacity and honesty.   Your family has a good example in you, and this PU may help to bring some more happiness to you all.

Birol, old budyy, I have never seen anyone with such patience and persistence in getting something that will give your family an economical vacation.  Of course, times might be a bit tight  for a while but I think things are heading into a more positive directions right now.  You are very deserving of the popup for your family.  Remember that life is so short and that we must make time to do things for ourselves because working all the time is no fun.  If we don't make time for camping and doing the things we love, then, that's no kind of life.  Oh yeah, I share the same type sense of humor that you do.  It helps me to get through some tough times.  Your children will absolutely love camping and I hope that Babette will start to love it as much as you do.  Be sure to make things easy for her when setting up that popup.  She's gonna be a little jealous of the time you spend with the popup, cleaning it and fixing it and getting it ready.  Once in the campground, she will see a lot of other families camping together.  I am so glad you found that popup and wish you and your family many happy trails and campground.  Hope that we meet up on one of those trails.
