On the Old Board, (sorry for bringing up the past) the were a few threads about building your own PVC bike rack.  I used the search function , but nothing came up on the new board.  I would appreciate any advice on building such a unit I could get.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know if it's PVC, but mrflinders has built his own removable bike rack.  If you visit his Web site, www.flindersfamily.com , you can probably find a picture of it.

Good luck!

IIRC Dave used to have them as a sponser called Six-N-All or something like that. Several folks made up racks just from looking at the ad pictures.

Is this what you looking for?  I built and use this one.

I am no longer with this ISP so I don't know how long this page will be up. I used bike rack from Maine to the TN rally and back with no problems. I never did like the idea af using the ratcheting straps to hold the rack on, seemed to put to much downward pressure on the roof especially when you consider the weight of the bikes already. I let my rack go when I sold my popup.

Chasd60...
I just noticed the URL on those links, do you use Prexar for your ISP? Reason I ask, is my brother up in Biddeford built the Prexar ISP system, was their system administrator for several years, and still does consulting work for them. I belive they started out as Lanier.net or something like that.
