Our environment is making us sick, and I think it's our own fault that we've made it worse with so many chemicals and pollutants fouling the air, inside and out.   Can't take it all back now that it's been done, but it seems that allergies and asthma have run rampant in the last decade or so.  Almost like an epidemic.

BTW, has anyone else tried to use the allergy and asthma watch feature on the home page of the SBCyahoo service?   I have set it so that it's near the top and I can see it instantly when I click on my home page, but for the entire month that i've had it there, even when I'm having a bad allergy or asthma day, it says that conditions are good and the air quality is good.  Does anyone know where this is suppose to be?  I need to move there.

Lee, are you feeling any better just yet?   Hope you are but you still have to be careful about being around certain blooming things, smoke, fumes, etc.  My Dr. says it would fill several stacks of files to figure out everything people are allergic to.

Yes, you know I really am.. It looks like the Prednisone really is doing the trick. In our area, the tree pollen is in "high" alert and for the most part, I function normal. I still have a little stuffy nose but I can live with that. For the last 5 (?) years, spring time has been 3-5 weeks of solid flu like symptoms. I am also taking Clarinex with it, but may not need it with the Prednisone. I am taking the Prednisone twice a day, it seems to last for about 12 hours or so.  I am really very happy about this, I do not react to meds well, in fact, meds do not really work on me. I seem to be very stubborn to results from them. (I have tried all the major allergy meds in the last 5 years with no results)  If I get a cold, I can take 1/2 a bottle on Nyquil and not be the least bit sleepy. (that used to freak out the secretary at my old job as she watched me do that waiting for me to just fall over.) She was like my wife, one spoon full for a zombie-like state...

Anyway.. Thanks all!  I am, as they say... A Happy Camper!!

Oh, yea.. I have the camper out of the back yard and set up in the driveway now~~ Woo Hoo.. the camping bug is getting close!

I have been sneezing so much lately, and I'm not sure exactly what plant/tree that is in bloom, but we seem to have so much of it around here.

Seems that the hardest time with this plant seems to be in AM.  Yesterday, I left the house and there is the smell.  It is kinda hard to describe, but seem kinda like a perfumey, herby, kinda peppery smell.

I drove to work and I had to have the windows down as the A/C is out in the car and that's all I could smell was this thing and I sneezed the whole 23miles to work.  I have had such a bad headache sine last Thurs and this doesn't help the cause.

I still have very slight allergies, but nothing I can't just sneeze my way through.  For about 2 years my allergies were uncontrollable.   I had an inhaler, steroid nasal drops and was taking allergy meds year round to just keep things in check.  I discovered it was the building I was working in.  My first company was bought out by a large company and most everyone in my department went to work for the new company.  I was SO sick for the two years I was there and didn't realize how bad it was until I left.  I found a new job in November of 2000.  In December of 2000, I stopped taking all the allergy meds because I seemed fine then.  I haven't taken anything since!  I never had much faith in those "sick building" syndromes, but I'm a firm believer now.
