When I bought my BAL leveler from Camping World it was on sale and I got free shipping. :)

You can check out Camping World's website, but I'm going to be checking out that store in person the next time I go to Myrtle Beach, SC.

ah, yes, THE GLORIOUS BAL LEVELER!  I'd give up almost any of my popup toys before I give the  Leveler up. (or my nice big cordless drill. ;) )

Last summer a friend and I went to Lapidary Camp for a week and took the TM instead of staying in the lodge..  When we arrived at the cg, a very nice man in the RV next door came over  and offered to "help" us get set up.  You should have seen his eyes when I leveled the trailer with the BAL and  NO backing up and pulling forward--just cradled the wheel and cranked a minute or two until the bubbles in my level said "Yep, this is it."  Then  I took my trusty  my DeWalt cordless drill and zapped the stabilizers into place in a few seconds.

These are two great camping  "aids" everyone with a pu can use.   :#   (And if you are a woman setting up camp on your own, they're even more important :!

I bought mine from Cabela's on their website. It cost a  little less than anywhere else I seen it and the shipping was only $7.95.

OK, so now I know all about the leveler.  Now tell me about levels.   Where do you place the levels to know if you are perfectly leveled.  On the back bumper of the pu for side to side?  On the toungue for front to back?

I have a small level (8" maybe??) with a magnet on one side ...

For side-to-side I put it on the roof in back ~ the spare is in the way to use the bumper very effectively.

For front-to-back I stick it right to the tongue next to the crank.  I can watch it while I level.

I used a four foot level and perfectly leveled my PU.  Then I applied one of the little stick on levels on the front center of the trunk of the PU.  I applied the second level to the door side of the PU under the porch light.  Having it under the light makes it easy to see the bubble in the dark. :)

Mannnn... I wish I'd thought of that!!! Mine is between the light and the door and just far enough that I have to use a flashlight. I did the same thing. Leveled it, stuck on the levels front and side. 'cept I wasn't smart enough to put it under the light! (He said, banging his head on the computer desk!)

I ordered a BAL Leveler for $70 shipped from JC Whitney last week (May 5th).  They promptly sent me an email saying it was on back order.  Today I received a postcard saying they should ship it on May 27th.

Funny, I read on another message board that someone else had ordered a BAL Leveler from JC Whitney and it was back ordered for a month too.  They had just received theirs the day we ordered ours so I assumed they would have a big stock of these.  I guess JC Whitney has a problem keeping them in stock or in knowing how many they will need to keep on hand.

went to the junk yard and got four old scissor jacks for nothing. works great.

You level your PU with the scissor jacks?  The frames on PU trailers are not the strongest.  You could end up bending the frame, if this is what you do.

:-() I ordered the BAL yesterday 5/11 and recieved confirmation just now that my order was placed and the leveler was shipped out yesterday!!  I paid 64.95 plus shipping and I did the 2nd day express shipping since I'm camping this weekend.  I tracked it FedEx and it should be here tommorrow!!  Thanks everyone!! :D

Update:  The leveler I ordered from JC Whitney last week and was told was on back order until May 27th was delivered today.  I have removed it from its packaging and it  looks as solid as others have noted.

David R. where did you find yours?  The nearest I saw a price like that was at Camping World/President's Club.

Yeah, I got it at campingworld.com for 64.99 + shipping.  But I'm not in the club, I didn't think the 19.95 was worth signing up for as the BAL is the only thing I'd buy from the site.
Good to hear you got your leveler in sooner than expected.  I hate it when you order something and find out it's on back order or coming later than expected.

I've got this cool little electronic torpedo level (Zircon, I think) that emits a "beep" when level is achieved. Usually, I open the stepper door to the camper, put the level just inside the doorway then crank till I hear the "beep"! I've often wondered what the camping neighbors thought when DW tells the kids; Hush!, your dad's leveling the camper:D .
