The Fort Wilderness campground was a nice campground but not really what I had expected. We stayed in the 900 loop but I drove all over the CG in my golf cart to check the entire CG out. The first thing I have to say is that the water in Florida (pardon my language) sucks. This water tastes more like sulphur than it does anything else

In all fairness it's not all Florida water that tastes like poorly recycled toilet water it's Orlando water. I once asked about the disgusting taste and was told it has to do with the supply and demand, the treatment facility dosen't have enough time to process and they end up doing it with high quantities of flouride and chlorine. If you think the Coke tastes bad what about the coffee.:yikes:

We had gone to MD for two nights first so I had filled my 30 gallon tank before I left home. At Ft Wilderness I would shut off the water hookup and pump the water out of the tank and fill bottles for drinking and coffee. But you are right, it made the coffee nasty when I tried it with the Ft Wilderness water.

That's because the ice is made with the nasty water! :p yuk....I can remember  sulphur water at the Zoo in Jacksonville from when I was a little girl and that was a long, long time ago! LOL..it was so gross that I remember it to this day.  gag...  Nice to know..I'll be sure to take cases of bottled water if I ever go!  We're really particular about our water!
