In envy with reading all the posts about moving on and up and over to the Dark side, etc, etc, etc....We've gone and done it too!!!!!!

We are purchasing a 2005 Rockwood Roo 21SS Hybrid. We will be bringing it home next Saturday and needless to say we are excited.
And Sad!! We've had our Coleman Cape Cod for almost 10 years and lots of memories and mods make it special in our hearts.
But, we're not getting any younger and DH grumbles about the set up and take down process of the pop up so we decided to gift ourselves with the Roo for our 25th wedding anniversary! Yeah!!!!!

Couldn't wait to share this with this group and can't wait for the Rally!
Thank you for letting me share,
Cheryl

Congratulations

On your Wedding anniversary and the new hybrid !

I am proud to be such an inspiration :):):) I hope you will have happy many camping days in it. Please post pictures when you can  :p

Congratulations!  I've been thinking IF we ever get a bigger hybrid, that we'd look at the Rockwoods.  You'll have to give a FULL report when you get it and begin camping in it!

And Don't Forget Pic's!!!!! Congrats! On Both!

Did You Trade The Coleman In?

jstaddwtr

Super!   Really wish you all the best!  Let us know how much you love it!!!!

Cheryl

Hi Dee,
No we didn't trade the Coleman in. We're going to sell it ourselves. With all the mods we've added and the fact that it is a unique pop-up style, we are asking $4,600 for it. Thanks for the congrats and you can have the nickle tour when we camp at the rally in July!
P.S. Dee are you holding on to the train tickets until July or are they being sent to each family? My memory is shot and one of our friends asked me this the other day.
Thanks,
Cheryl

Congratulations...on both the Roo AND to 25 years of marriage!  :!

(I'd rather toast with a glass of wine, but beer mugs were my only choice.  LOL)

Congrads on the new hybrid :)

We just moved up to a hybrid and I can't belive all the space :yikes: and I really like not having to bend over to get into the fridge.

She grumbles,too......don't believe anything else.
The rest of her post is accurate.
I don't get on here much, so those of you that don't know, I'm her DH.

Can't wait to get the new one home......and more importantly, out camping!
Have a great day.

Yeah, Bob, we knew that Cheryl grumbles too...  Now, where are you going to park this one?  Congratulations!

wynot, Cape Codger & Cheryl:

Do you folks live anywhere near the Hagerstown KOA?

It's one of our favorite private CGs, and we try to get there at least once a year...

It's going in the spot where the Pop-Up won't be when it's sold to another loving family.
At least that's the plan.
The place is gonna look like a used car lot.....Cheryl's Areostar....The Safari.....DD's Cougar....and now ....the pick up truck to haul the new camper. Lest not forget the company vehicle that I drive. That makes five vehicles not including campers.
Should make for an interesting Friday evening when we bring the Roo home.

jazman, Yes we live in the greater Hagerstown area. Been to the KOA on a few occasions.  Nice place.

We got it home last night around 7:30~8:00, after a long ride thru the Frederick "metro area" rush-hour. The rain didn't make the drive any more fun either.
The "new to us truck" performed it's assigned task without any difficulty.
The Roo is a spacious trailer with lots of features that I'm sure will take us many trips to fully understand and appreciate.
We have a trip scheduled for the weekend of the 19th, at the Gettysburg Campground, so if you're in the neighborhood, come by and pay us a visit.

Guess I need to change my signature line?

I am glad that you got it home safe and sound.  Can you post some pictures for us? :)
