No camping

Nope, we didn't go camping this weekend. Altho my DGD and I and Lil Spanky, did spend the night in the camper in the driveway. We played dress up, Go Fish, colored, read books, and after the lights were out we played "see how many words you can think of that start with....." Then dear Cheyenne played, "Nana, I'm touching you" for just a little bit too long. Well, it wasn't really that long.
On Sunday all the kids came over for a cookout for Father's Day, and our annual Water balloon fight. (seems like I just posted that, but it was last year that I talked about it, time really does fly) We've been doing this for close to 10 years now. We had a wonderful time, the weather was gorgeous, if cool, and 4 families on our block joined in with us to play in the water. Our neighborhood is littered with little bits of brightly colored rubber, good thing the street sweeper comes around often. We started with small dimestore squirtguns, chasing each other around the yard, then pulled the hidden water balloons out and started throwing them. Went thru 400 of them. A neighbor across the street has figured out that we do this every Father's Day, and his whole family came running over with buckets full of balloons, and after that, anything thing that holds water is fair. The buckets, my good Tupperware, plastic cups, and of course, the hose. Or better yet, several hoses hooked together. (you can chase people right back to their own yard that way.) What fun! Do any of the rest of you do goofy stuff like this?

Nope.  We live in an old folks neighbor hood with most people in their 70's and 80's.  They would freak out if we did anything like that.

nope..not here either.  I couldn't even tell you the names of 90% of our neighbors in our townhouses!

Nope, but I'd like to pour some stuff on our whole town if I could!

Now, about that tupperware sis. There was, I hope, only water in them. Wouldn't want any leftovers, (that could've been sent to me), to be lying in the street with the colored pieces of rubber.  Well, I've eaten from worse places! LOL
