Fixed all the lights on Finally at last ! Now Finally has all the lights working finally :) hehehe couldn't help it.

But, the ground connection going to the frame is rusted so bad ! The screw is rusted, the place it goes into the frame is rusted. I cleaned the contact thingie at the end of the cable with sandpaper. How doi I get rid of the rust and make sure it doesn't rust anymore ? I need that ground to stay clean and rust free.

Thanks ....

Birol, After you have it all cleaned up, cover the ground point with dielectric grease. You can get a small tube at the auto parts store, and it will keep it from rusting again. You can smear and cover the thing totally, it won't hurt anything.

Dielectric grease ! Okee dokee ! So, I use my sander to get rid of the rust on the frame and sandpaper on the screw right ?

Sandpaper is best, wire brush will work good too. Try that first, if you have one.

No, the grease will make a mess.. What I would do is to drill & tap the hole to take a 1/4"-20 bolt. Then use 2 external tooth star washers to go inbetween the new terminal. Once it is all tight seal it all with some black silicoln. Thre grease is great for the plug & terminals, but it will get all over the place when used as a "covering"  btw, once again.. this is a 2 minute job if you want while you are down here.. Just tap it out and put in a new bolt!

I will get this out of the way and be done with it. It will give us more time to deal with the roof and less time to worry about other stuff.
